This intensive professional training programme is designed to equip participants with practical, job-ready skills in data analysis, statistical methods, data visualisation and text/qualitative analysis. Whether you are new to data analysis or looking to formalise and expand existing skills, this programme provides a structured path from raw data to actionable insight.

The training covers four core tools — Microsoft Excel, SPSS, Tableau, and foundational statistical & research methods and Qualitative Analysis — in an applied, hands-on format. Every session is built around real datasets and practical exercises, ensuring participants leave with skills they can apply immediately in their work.

Why This Training

Data literacy is increasingly a baseline requirement across industries — not just for data scientists, but for analysts, researchers, managers, and anyone who needs to make decisions from evidence. This programme is designed for professionals who need to work confidently with data without requiring a mathematics or computer science background.

Programme Format

The training runs over 5 days with a structured progression from foundational concepts through to a final applied project. Each day combines instruction with hands-on practice. Participants work with real datasets throughout, and the final day is dedicated to a full end-to-end analysis project that consolidates all skills from the programme.

Tools Covered

Microsoft Excel — data entry, cleaning, functions, PivotTables, charts, and dashboard construction. Excel is the foundation of practical data work and the starting point for the programme.

SPSS — the industry-standard statistical software used in academic research and professional analysis. The programme covers data entry, descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and ANOVA, with a strong emphasis on interpreting output correctly.

Tableau — interactive dashboard and data visualisation tool. Participants learn to connect data sources, build visual analyses, and publish dashboards that communicate findings clearly to non-technical audiences.

Statistical Methods & Research Design — sampling methods, research question framing, variable types, data collection, and the principles of valid statistical inference.

Qualitative Analysis — Key Participants Interview and focus groups analysis
